Conservation Volunteering
An immersive experience on a working game farm in Hoedspruit, combining horseback riding, hands-on conservation, and veterinary field work.
The 14-day programme is the longer way to spend time with Nimble Drift. Guests may find themselves involved in game capture, raising orphaned animals, anti-poaching patrols, wildlife monitoring, or conservation fieldwork, depending on what the reserve needs at that time. No two days are the same.
Each day is shaped by what is actually happening on the reserve and built around horses, wildlife, and veterinary work.

Days are active. Evenings are yours.
Everything you need for 14 days in the bush.

Intermediate to experienced. You should be comfortable at walk, trot, and canter before joining the programme.
No prior experience is needed. The programme is open to anyone with a genuine interest in conservation and animal welfare.
The core programme runs every day, but specific activities like game capture and veterinary days depend on what is happening on the reserve at the time.
Accommodation for 14 days, meals, horses, experienced guides, programme transport, and conservation activities confirmed for your intake.
